Several agreements were signed during Medvedev’s visit to Serbia

Belgrade, October 19, 2019 In the presence of Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic and Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev, several bilateral agreements and memorandums of cooperation in various fields – science, economy, transport infrastructure, agriculture, innovation – were exchanged in Belgrade tonight. Among them is the Handover Agreement for the 166th page of Miroslav’s Gospel, located at the National Library in St. Petersburg, as well as
seven paintings by Russian artist Nikolai Roerich from the late 19th and early 20th centuries, kept by the National Museum in Belgrade. The Agreement between the governments of Serbia and Russia on the establishment and conditions of activity of information and cultural centers was exchanged, as well as the Agreement on joint realization of the project of modernization of the Belgrade-Vrbnica-border with Montenegro (Bar) railway section, section Valjevo-Montenegro with Serbia and the Russian Railways Open Joint Stock Company. The Annex to the Contract for the Design and Execution of Railway Infrastructure Construction and the Construction of a Unique Dispatch Center for Train Traffic Management in Serbia between “Serbian Railways Infrastructure” and RZD International was signed. Today, Serbian and Russian partners also exchanged the Agreement on approval of the state export credit to the Government of Serbia, the Agreement on cooperation in the field of plant quarantine and plant protection, as well as the Agreement on cooperation in the construction of the Center for Nuclear Science, Technology and Innovation in the territory of Serbia. Also, the Protocol on co-operation between the Serbian Customs Administration and the Russian Federal Customs Service in the fight against customs offenses in air transport was exchanged, as well as the Memorandum of Understanding between the two institutions on the cooperation of the customs services at the airports “Nikola Tesla” Belgrade and “Sheremetjevo” Moscow in the field of anti-fraud. Representatives of the Ministry of Education, Science and Technological Development of Serbia and the Ministry of Education of Russia exchanged a Memorandum of Understanding. Also, a Memorandum of Understanding was exchanged between the Ministry of Economy of Serbia and the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia on localization of Russian industrial production in the territory of Serbia, as well as the Memorandum of Understanding between the Cabinet of Ministers without portfolio in charge of innovation and technological development of Serbia and the Ministry of Industry and Trade Russia on cooperation in the field of innovation and digital technology in the industry.
