Odessa, Ukraine (PortSEurope) June 13, 2018 – The Ukrainian Sea Ports Authority (USPA) has contacted 15 financial institutions (the first 15 in the rating of the most reliable banks of Ukraine) with a proposal to take part in the selection for the provision of financial leasing services. As a result, six institutions showed interest at the meeting, namely Oschadbank, Ukreximbank, Ukrgasbank, PUMB, Tekom-Lizing and PJSC Bank Vostok.

USPA met with financial institutions to discuss the terms of cooperation and the use of financial leasing for the purchase of a pilot boat.

The participants agreed on the basic criteria, including the terms of delivery, the scheme of lease payments, the terms of construction, the place and conditions of delivery, the area of ​​operation of the vessel. But based on the received commercial proposals.

USPA estimates the cost of such a vessel at UAH 80 million (€2.6 million/$3.07 million).

It should be noted that the plan for the development of the USPA fleet provides for the purchase of three pilot boats, which will replace existing ones. In the 2018 fiscal year, the purchase of one boat is planned. The boats are used to provide specialized pilotage services in seaports and navigable channels between ports, as well as in areas that are difficult to navigate, and intensive shipping.
