South Korean consul visits the port of Barcelona

Barcelona, Spain (PortSEurope) October 15, 2020 – Taewan Huh, the Consul for South Korea, has visited Barcelona port, accompanied by Consul Deputy General Junho Choi. The visitors were welcomed by President of the Port of Barcelona, ​​Mercè Conesa; the deputy director general of Strategy and Commercial, Santiago Garcia-Milà, the Head of Strategy, Jordi Torrent; the head of External Relations, Manuel Prince; and the head of
Foreland, Gemma Garcia. The two delegations have held a working meeting in which, among other aspects, they have agreed to develop a logistics centre in Barcelona to promote the port of Barcelona and Busan Port Authority (BPA). It is the first joint initiative by the two ports to revitalize trade and provide a platform stable logistics to companies doing business between Northeast Asia and Southern Europe. In order to guarantee the success of this project, the Ports of Barcelona and Busan will create a joint venture that will manage and operate the logistics centre effectively.
