Spain’s CLH Renews Environmental Practice Agreement With Ports

Gijón, Spain (PortSEurope) June 21, 2018 – The facilities of Spanish fuel wholesaler CLH Group in Santurce, Gijón, Barcelona, Ibiza, Porto Pi, Mahón and Algeciras have renewed agreements on good environmental practices they have with their corresponding port authorities, the company reported.

Therefore, the company assumes the commitment to promote the best environmental practices in these six plants and to certify their compliance through periodic controls, carried out by independent personnel. The port authorities, in turn, will apply bonuses on the activity rates in the ports.

CLH Group is the leading company in the transport and storage of petroleum products in the Spanish market. In Spain, it has a pipeline network of more than 4,000 kilometres in length and 40 storage facilities, of which 14 are connected to ports of export and import of petroleum products.

The CLH Group is made up of Compañía Logística de Hidrocarburos, CLH SA and its subsidiary company, CLH Aviación SA.
