Barcelona, Spain (PortSEurope) May 15, 2019 – Spanish freight transport operator Grupo Moldtrans has launched a new weekly maritime service between the Iberian Peninsula and the Middle East.
The service has been operational since the beginning of May and connects every week the ports of Valencia and Barcelona with the port of Dubai, in the United Arab Emirates. From there, the cargo is redistributed to the main ports of other countries in the region such as Kuwait, Jordan, Saudi Arabia and Pakistan.
The new maritime transport route is offered in the consolidated groupage mode, in collaboration with the transport and logistics firm OFS Cargo Services LLC.
“With this new service, we are responding to the growing demand for competitive, reliable and quality maritime transport between the Iberian Peninsula and the Middle East. For this we link two of the main Spanish ports, Valencia and Barcelona, with the port of Dubai, which is the gateway to the countries of the region,” Daniel Rodríguez, director of the maritime and air division of the Moldtrans Group, said.
