A Coruña, Spain (PortSEurope) June 13, 2018 – Spanish company Oil Deposit Corunna has said it plans to start operating a terminal for the storage, mixing, transformation, loading and unloading of liquid bulks in the Punta Langosteira outer harbour of A Coruña port by the end of 2019.
This would start the first phase of the company’s project in A Coruña, which would determine any later stages. The president of the port authority, Enrique Losada, is not as optimistic as the Oil Deposit Corunna managers. In the opinion of Losada, this initial estimate “may be a bit optimistic”.
“Hopefully they will install as soon as possible, but given the environmental requirements, the development of the engineering and the construction of the tanks, with storage for 350,000 tonnes, I think the process requires a longer period than we would like,” he admitted.
