Trieste Marine Terminal reports lower container traffic in October

Trieste, Italy (PortSEurope) December 2, 2021 – Trieste Marine Terminal (TMT) closed October 2021 with 53,270 TEU handled, down (-19.75%) on the same month of 2020. The fall was due to “green pass” strikes and vessel reschedulings. In January-October 2021, the port handled 546,131 TEU, down -5.5%. The decline is expected to be limited to the month of October. Rail transport reported -25.3% compared to
