Trieste, Italy (PortSEurope) October 23, 2018 – Autorita’ di Sistema Portuale del Mare Adriatico Orientale (AdSP – Eastern Adriatic Sea Port Authority) is organising the participation of Trieste port in a business event in Munich, Germany.
The Trieste port community will have the opportunity to present the port’s transport capabilities.
Under the logo “Trieste Your Rail Port in the heart of Europe”, the event takes place under the auspices of the Generalkonsulat der Republik Italien in München, and the AdSP is being supported by ITALCAM (Italienische Handelskammer München-Stuttgart.
The event will take place November 13, 2018, at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry for Munich and Upper Bavaria, with a networking opportunity at the end of the event.
Last August, the Bavaria Express block train, which operates between Trieste port and Munich-Riem was planning to increase its frequency from five to six circulations weekly.
The Port of Trieste is the only Italian port to have direct international connections. More than 400 trains a month link Trieste to the manufacturing and industrial areas of Northeastern Italy and Central Europe. Different destinations in Germany, Austria, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Slovakia, Switzerland and Luxembourg serve a developing and highly organised economic hinterland. The Port of Trieste has an internal
rail network (70 kilometres of tracks) connecting the national and international network.
