Ukraine is interested in developing digital transport corridors, Vladislav Krykliy – January 31, 2020 On January 31, 2020, representatives of the Ministry of Infrastructure of Ukraine held a meeting with representatives of the largest operator of Kazakhstan’s main rail network – JSC Kazakhstan Temir Zholy. Representatives of JSC “Ukrzaliznytsya”, SE “Sectoral Center of Digitization and Cyber ​​Security” and the International Chamber of Commerce of Ukraine
also took part in the meeting. The participants of the meeting discussed the implementation of the Unified system of automation of freight transportation. Representatives of the Kazakh side noted that a digital document flow system based on Blockchain technology has already been implemented in Kazakhstan. It was this technology that enabled Kazakhstan to exchange electronic documents with other carrier countries. One of the goals of the visit is to build an electronic-digital corridor for the transit of trains between China and Europe. Farid Safarov, head of the Digital Infrastructure Directorate for Transport of the Ministry of Infrastructure, stated that Ukraine aims to implement and ensure the rapid passage of international transit trains through its territory, with the minimization of cost and simplification of the calculation of transit tariffs. Volodymyr Nabokov, Head of the Branch Center of Digitization and Cyber ​​Security, emphasized that automation of freight transportation and development of digital corridors are the directions his enterprise works with the Ministry of Infrastructure and JSC Ukrzaliznytsya. “Ukraine has a favorable geographical position and has every chance of becoming an international hub. Our colleagues from Kazakhstan offer us cooperation, in particular, the combination of railway routes with the possibility of ferry connections, both on the Black and Caspian seas. The organization and development of such a logistics branch will allow to increase transportation in the direction Europe-Asia-Europe. Ukraine is interested in the development of digital transport corridors, ”- said Minister of Infrastructure Vladislav Krykliy commented on the outcome of the meeting. Representatives of JSC Kazakhstan Temir Zholy expressed their readiness for further cooperation. The Kazakh side also invited representatives from Ukraine to visit Kazakhstan, where they will demonstrate all the features of implementing blockchain systems.
