Vado Gateway container terminal has passed technical/administrative testing

Genoa, Italy (PortSEurope) March 3, 2021 – Technical-administrative testing of the APM Terminals’ new Vado Gateway container terminal has been successfully completed. The testing took place in the presence of the testing commission chaired by the engineer Pietro Baratono, the Single Process Manager (Rup), the construction manager, construction company Fincosit srl, the design company Technital spa, APM Terminals Vado Ligure in the person of the
managing director Paolo Cornetto and of the technical and safety staff who supervised the construction. APM Terminals’ Vado Port System is made up of two integrated terminals: APM Terminals’ existing Reefer Terminal and the new semi-automated terminal, the Vado Gateway. With the launch of Vado Gateway in 2019, Vado Ligure became the first semi-automated port in Italy with a fully-automated gate and stacking yard The Vado Ligure Port Complex is one of the most competitive terminals in Europe, combining innovation, automation, intermodal connectivity and the ability to offer fully integrated and complex services such as cold storage, project cargo, Ro-Ro and intermodal transport.
