Valencia, Spain (PortSEurope) June 21, 2019 – Valencia port authority has completed the installation of automatic access doors at the CSP Iberian Valencia Terminal, located at the Prince Felipe Pier, and part of CSP Spain.

In April 2019, following its acquisition by Cosco Shipping Ports Limited in June 2017, Noatum Ports SLU was rebranded Cosco Shipping Ports (Spain) Terminals S.L.U. (CSP Spain).

From June 20, carriers can only access the terminal using the new access enabled for them. The works have been carried out in a “rhythmic” way with the terminal to guarantee the traffic flow.

The new doors, eight entrance and five exits, have an OCR system, which automatically records the data of the truck and its load. This process, which crosses the information gathered with the data previously received from Valenciaportpcs, “speeds up the management and attention of traffic in the terminal”, the port authority said.

When the truck arrives at the automatic door, the driver must only pass the bar code through the reader or enter on the touch screen of the kiosk the access code that has been provided.
