Huelva, Spain (PortSEurope) June 22, 2020 – Transitex, an Iberian logistics and transport company and part of Yilport, has added the port of Huelva to its list of ports connected via a rail service to its Elvas logistics platform (Plataforma Logística de Elvas) in Portugal. A weekly block train between Elvas and the port of Huelva will start in June 2020. Elvas is located in central
Portugal, close to the border with Spain. Elvas started operations in July 2005 and containers are transported weekly from the region, offering logistic solutions for both sides of the border between Portugal and Spain, that allows companies from this region to increase their competitiveness. Over the last 15 years, the ports of Sines, Setubal, Lisbon and Leixões have started receiving cargo transported by Transitex, part of a door to door service based in a network of offices in four continents. In 2016, Transitex was acquired by Turkey’s Yildirim Group, becoming part of the Yilport Holding and opening its first office in Turkey, Istanbul. Copyright (C) PortSEurope.
