Koper, Slovenia (PortSEurope) October 29, 2019 – Yusen Logistics Hungary Kft, the only Japanese logistics provider in Slovenia, has opened a strategic branch in Koper, Slovenia. The opening ceremony took place on October 11, 2019, and was attended by approximately 50 delegates from 11 countries, including Masaharu Yoshida, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Republic of Slovenia. In his speech, Ambassador Mr. Yoshida said that “Investment
and business of Japanese companies in the region are increasing. We expect all companies, including Yusen Logistics but also any other Japanese company, will utilize the competitive advantage of Koper port.” In addition, Mr. Dimitrij Zadel, President of the Management Board Luka Koper d.d., said that increased business was forecast following the signing of the Japan-EU Economic Partnership Agreement that came into effect in February this year.
