Brazil is a country located in South America. It is the fifth largest country in the world in terms of both land area and population, with over 212 million people. Brazil is bordered by Venezuela, Guyana, Suriname, and French Guiana to the north; Colombia to the northwest; Peru and Bolivia to the west; Paraguay and Argentina to the southwest; and Uruguay and the South Atlantic Ocean to the south. Brazil is the largest country in both South America and the Latin American region.
