Catania

Catania is a port in Eastern Sicily, Italy, located at the base of Mount Etna. The port of Catania has a total surface area of ​​approximately one million square meters (land areas and stretches of water). The land areas cover an area of ​​470,000 square meters, the goods storage yards 280,000 square meters, the total length of the berths of the 26 operational docks is 4,200 ml.The port of Catania is located in the center of the Mediterranean basin, in an equidistant position between the Suez Canal and Gibraltar and between European and African ports.

The port is operated by Autorita’ di Sistema Portuale del Mare di Sicilia Orientale (AdSP – Eastern Sicilian Sea Port Authority).
