Sines
The Port of Sines is the largest artificial port in Portugal, and a deep water port and is located around 100km south of Lisbon. The Port of Sines is an open deep-water sea port with excellent maritime access, without restrictions, leading the Portuguese port sector in the volume of cargo handled, and offering unique natural characteristics to receive any type of vessels. Due to its modern specialized terminals, the port is able to handle the different types of cargoes. It is managed by APS-Administração do Porto de Sines and is currently looking at greater involvement in renewable energies. It is a location of a liquefied natural gas (LNG) terminal.
