Almería

The Port of Almería is located on Spain’s Southern Mediterranean coastline. It has regular ROPAX services linking it to North Africa and its main customers come from the agricultural, marble and dry bulk sectors. Through the Port of Carboneras, Endesa imports coal and Holcim exports cement. In Almería, the outer extension is made up of a quay measuring 300 metres long and 14 m deep. In Carboneras, there is a public quay measuring 297 m long and 17 m deep, and a quay used by Endesa measuring 146 m long and 9.35 m deep, this helping the port to attract new concessions and traffic. It is managed by Autoridad Portuaria de Almería and is under the auspices of Puertos del Estado, the state-owned authority.
