Castellamare di Stabia

The Port of Castellammare di Stabia focuses its activities mainly in the pleasure boating and shipbuilding sectors, thanks to the historic presence of the “Fincantieri” plant. The area dedicated to pleasure boating (mega and giga yachts) has developed in recent years thanks to the proximity of the port to the Sorrento coast and the archaeological sites of Herculaneum and Pompeii, which attract millions of tourists every year. Industrial activity represents a sector of great economic and employment value for the city and has recently been moving towards the production of parts for military ships and the construction of ferries. It is managed by Autorita’ di Sistema Portuale del Mar Tirreno Centro-Settentrionale (AdSP – Centre-North Tyrrhenian Sea Port Authority) which also manages the ports of Naples and Salerno.
