Moldova’s Giurgiulesti International Free Port (with the status of a free economic zone until 2030) is located on the maritime section of the Danube and is capable of receiving both inland and sea-going vessels. It has an oil products terminal, grain terminal, vegetable oil terminal, bulk cargo terminal, container & general cargo terminal, Ro-Ro terminal and a passenger terminal. The port offers the services of a mixed-gauge rail terminal.
