Venice, Italy (PortSEurope) November 6, 2018 – Italian companies Parisi Group and I.Co.P. srl are in talks for the sale of their shares in Trieste port’s logistics platform, used to handle ro-ro cargo and solid bulk.
According to media reports, the interested buyer is China Merchants Group, which had already expressed interest in operating at Trieste port in the past.
Zeno D’Agostino, president of #Autorita’ di Sistema Portuale del Mare Adriatico Orientale (AdSP – Eastern Adriatic Sea Port Authority), has been in discussions with the Chinese investor to determine the interest of Chinese state-owned companies in operating the ports.
