Corsica Linea Gets Contract To Operate Services Linking Mainland France To Corsica

Bastia, Corsica, France (PortSEurope) June 28, 2019 – Corsica’s government has assigned to the shipping company Corsica Linea the contract to ensure with its maritime services the territorial continuity between mainland France and Corsica for the period between October 1 and December 31, 2020.

Corsica Linea will operate connections between the ports of Marseille and the Corsican ports of Bastia, Ajaccio and Ile-Rousse.

Shipping company La Méridionale, which participated in the tender for the services will continue to operate on the routes with Corsica, namely the ports of Portovecchio and Propriano.

The tenders for the two maritime connections were unsuccessful as the offers presented by both Corsica Linea and La Méridionale were deemed too expensive.
