Rijeka, Croatia (PortSEurope) January 10, 2019 – Italian company Fincantieri SpA and Australia’s Scenic Group are studying the data room of Croatian troubled shipbuilder Uljanik d.d., Croatia’s economy minister Darko Horvat has said.
This is the facility provided for potential investors in the company and includes financial information about the company.
The government hopes that at two more companies will show interest in establishing a strategic partnership with Uljanik, Horvat said.
Fincantieri, Scenic Group and the other two potential investors are able to secure the 150 million kuna ($23.2 million/€20.2 million) financing needed by Uljanik to avoid bankruptcy, he added.
Pula-based Uljanik has been struggling financially recently which has led to order cancellations.
