consortia were also shortlisted – (1) Technital, Albania’s SEED Consulting, Atelier 4 and ArchiMED, and (2) France’s Artelia, Turkey’s Yuksel Proje, Italy’s F&M Ingegneria and Albania’s ICE – Illyrian Consulting Engineers. Their proposals were presented in Tirana in the presence of the Minister of Infrastructure and Energy, Belinda Balluku, the Director of the Durrës Port Authority, Pirro Vengu. It will now be the Bid Evaluation Commission that will select the winning company, which will draft the final project. The minister said that Albania does not just want a port, but seeks to develop a logistics hub. Such a facility would be too large for the current port, so a new facility away from the port is being considered.
