Gefco opens warehouse in Tanger Med Logistics Zone

Tanger Med, Morocco (PortSEurope) February 25, 2021 – Gefco, the French transport and logistics company, has opened a new warehouse in Tanger Med Logistics Zone. The 10,000 m2 facility is located in the Tanger Med Logistics Zone, ‘Medhub,’ a logistic gateway to European and African markets. Gefco will offer a range of solutions, including increasing storage and transport services the group already offers, especially in
theindustrial sector. “This is an exciting moment for the logistics sector in Africa, especially the Maghreb,” said Gefco, Managing Director, Morocco, Sebastien Roger, adding, “Morocco has a powerful workforce, world-class infrastructure, such as the Tanger Med port and great opportunities for growth due to its geographical location. Covering an area of 300 hectares, the Tanger Automotive City site offers direct access to Tanger Med Port (22 km) and Tanger Free Zone (20 km), thus ensuring truck deliveries to Europe in less than 48 hours. The TAC site is also linked to the development of Renault Tanger Med (less than 2 km) and situated close to road which connect it to the urban centres of Tangier (14 km) and other cities in the country.
