Genoa, Italy (PortSEurope) February 16, 2021 – On February 13, 2021, the vaccination campaign against Coronavirus started at the second terminal of the Palacrociere thanks to an agreement between ASL 2 Savonese and Costa Cruises. The agreement was promoted by the Liguria Region with the contribution of Autorita’ di Sistema Portuale del Mar Ligure Occidentale (AdSP – Western Ligurian Sea Port Authority), the Municipality of Savona,
the Port Authority, the Customs Agency, the Border Police, UMAAF When fully operational, the terminal will be able to accommodate up to 600 people a day, helping to accelerate the distribution of the vaccine in the Savona area. “The strength of a link between a company and the territory is seen in the good times, when thousands of cruise passengers crowd and give color to the city, and in the difficult times, when we hosted the ships last spring or now the vaccination centers. The sea is always a source of value for Liguria”,declared President Paolo Emilio Signorini.
