In March this year, the seaport of Chernomorsk processed 2.15 million tons of cargo

In March 2021 the total cargo turnover of Chernomorsk port was 2.15 million tons, which is 5.6% more than in the same period last year, reported Ukrainian Sea Ports Authority (USPA) – April 12, 2021 In particular, 1.77 million tons of export cargo were processed (+ 1.4% compared to March 2020), 286,000 tons were imported (+ 59.4% compared to the same period in 2020) and transit cargo was 99,000 tons of  (86.4% of the results of March 2020). Bulk cargo recorded 1.35 million tons during
this period (93.8% of March 2020). In particular, 1.14 million tons of grain cargo (89.2% of March 2020), 54,000 tons of ore (almost twice as much as last year), 24,000 tons of chemical and mineral fertilizers were processed, which is 4 times higher than in 2020. Bulk cargo in March 2021 was 89,000 tons (98.2% of 2020). Of these, 79,000 tons of oil were transshipped (92.7% of last year’s figures ), oil products – 10,000 tons (+ 81.2% to the results of March 2020). General cargo in the reporting period amounted to 719,000 tons of port cargo turnover (+ 40.3% compared to last year ). The best results were achieved when reloading trucks – 259,000 tons or 8,501 units, which is 79,000 tons or 2,416 units more than in the same period of 2020. Positive dynamics was observed in the overload of automotive and agricultural machinery – 14,000 tons (more than twice the rate), ferrous metals – 173,000 tons (+ 34.8% to the results of 2020) and food cargo – 12,000 tons (+ 70.9% to last year’s figures). Freight turnover at the berths of USPA amounted to 1.53 million tons or 71.2% of the total. At the same time, the state port operator ICC “Chernomorsk” handled 397,000 tons of cargo or 18.4% of the total cargo turnover of the port.
