The Slovenian Ministry of Infrastructure, with the support of SRIP ACS +, is organizing the sixth traditional international conference “Transport and Research in the Danube Region: Search for synergies between short and long-distance transport”, which will take place online on December 16 between 10.00 and 14.00. – December 15, 2020 This year, we will touch on extremely important topics, logistics of goods and passenger transport in
the first and last kilometer of the route, as well as related development challenges. We will highlight some examples of good practice and discuss the role of legislation in accelerating the introduction of new solutions into everyday life. We are also pleased to announce a special guest, Stephan Neugebauer , BMW’s Vice-President for Global Development, who, as Chair of the European Road Transport Technology Platform ERTRAC, is familiar with the strategic orientations of the automotive industry and mobility and is a key player in coordinating mobility strategies with the European Commission. We are especially looking forward to the introductory speech by Minister of Infrastructure of Slovenia, Jernej Vrtovec, who will provide important starting points and frameworks for further discussion. With interesting guests, we will open and close the burning issues of transport of goods and passengers in the last kilometer of the route, and also offer you, dear participants, enough space for your opinions and questions.
