Genoa, Italy (PortSEurope) February 8, 2019 – Italian shipping company Grandi Navi Veloci (GNV) plans to resume the operation of a ferry line linking Genoa to Olbia in the spring.
The company aims to increase the offer and bring new market in Sardinia, one of the most beautiful tourist destinations in the Mediterranean, creating new opportunities for tourism and development, CEO Matteo Catani said. “GNV can offer a capacity of over 700,000 passengers. We believe in the positive trend of this destination and that there is room for the increase in the offer of our type of service”.
The company plans to operate a line from Genoa to Porto Torres throughout the season from May 18 May to September 29, and the Genoa-Olbia connection will be operated between May 25 and September 29.
GNV increases its offer, going from six to seven lines on the domestic market, of which five are active all year round to and from Sicily, as well as eleven international lines to and from Tunisia, Morocco, Spain, France and Albania.
