Marín, Spain (PortSEurope) June 19, 2018 – In the first four months of 2018, Marín port handled 804,726 tons of cargo in the first four months, an increase of 6.7% over the same period of 2017.
In 2017, the port achieved 754,198 tonnes between January and April and, at the end of the year, reached 2.5 tonnes in all goods, which set a record year for the port.
Marín registered an increase merchandise of 7.05% over the previous year, with 799,771 tons (747,114).
Solid bulk increased by 28.96%. Specifically, 300,946 tons entered the port during the first four months of the year (233,362).
The movement that reports the unloading of frozen fishing in the port of Marín is marking an unequivocal tendency to maintain the increase of the item of the last two years, after the slump from 2013 to 2015.
Marín port is operated by Autoridad Portuaria de Marín y Ría de Pontevedra (Port Authority of Marín).
