Marín, Spain (PortSEurope) December 3, 2018 – Marín port plans to invest €1.19 million ($1.35 million) to reinforce the signal towers of Camoucos and Mourisca.
The project is aimed at reinforcing the foundations of both towers through a concrete structure of perimeter protection from the bottom.
The beacon tower of Camoucos is a red port side signal with a range of eight nautical miles. For its part, the beacon tower of Mourisca is a starboard side green signal with five nautical miles of range.
The safety of navigation in the estuary of Pontevedra through the maintenance of maritime signals is one of the priorities of the port authority.
Earlier this year, the port undertook the reconstruction of another beacon tower, that of Picamillo.
