Nice, France (PortSEurope) November 29, 2018 – Italian shipping company Moby Lines plans to cease the service between the ports of Nice and Bastia at the beginning of next year.
The last connection made by the Italian company between the French mainland port and Corsica is scheduled for January 6.
Currently, the ships of the Moby Line reach Bastia also from the ports of Genoa, Livorno and Piombino which are expected to be enhanced.
In 2017, the Italian company transported 70,000 passengers on the Nice-Bastia route and in 2018 a total traffic of about 100,000 passengers is expected.
From next year, the Nice-Bastia connection will be operated by Corsica Ferries alone.
