Livorno, Italy (PortSEurope) January 10, 2023 – MSC’s Terminal Investment (TiL) division will acquire Terminal Darsena Toscana (TDT) in Livorno from Gruppo Investimenti Portuali (GIP).

The acquisition is subject to approval from the relevant authorities and will be made via TIL subsidiary CSM Italia-Gate Spa. Terms of the deal were not available.

TDT is a container terminal and employees around 270 staffers.

In Italy, MSC – Mediterranean Shipping Company controls 100% of Terminal Bettolo in Genoa, 40% of La Spezia Container Terminal, 50% of Lorenzini Terminal in Livorno, 100% of Rome Container Terminal in Civitavecchia, 100% of Conateco in Naples, 100% of Medcenter Container Terminal in Gioia Tauro, 45% of Adriatic Container Terminal in Ancona, 50% of Venice Intermodal Terminal in Marghera and 80% of Trieste Marine Terminal (TMT).

Headquartered in Geneva, Switzerland, Terminal Investment Limited (TiL) was founded in 2000 by the Aponte Family to secure container terminal capacity in the major ports for MSC.
