Nantes.Saint-Nazaire, France (PortSEurope) August 20, 2018 – Saint-Nazaire port is considering the installation of a floating dock to serve larger cruise ships and increase the number of calls.
The floating dock solution provides an alternative to fixed structures as the port estimates to receive 5,500 passengers from eight planned calls this year.
The installation of a floating dock serving cruise ship has also been considered by Norway’s Ulvik harbour which also needs a bigger draft to serve larger ships.
