Las Palmas, Canary Islands, Spain (PortSEurope) March 14, 2019 – Boluda Corporación Marítima has launched a new freight service between the Canary Islands and Galicia on a weekly basis.
The company started connections on March 7 between the ports of Las Palmas and Tenerife and the port of Vilagarcía, in the province of Pontevedra.
The company operates the route with the ship Spica, a vessel with a capacity of 453 TEUs. After a journey of two days, it arrives at Tenerife harbour on Sundays and Gran Canaria on Mondays.
Another modification that affects the routes through the Canary Islands is that of the so-called North Boluda service. From now on, it will directly connect the ports of Bilbao, Leixões and Lisbon with the Canary Islands, which will reduce transit between Portugal and Cape Verde to less than a week.
