Suez, Egypt (PortSEurope) April 25, 2019 – The Suez Canal Authority (SCA) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with China’s Tianjin Municipality for the development of the second phase of TEDA Industrial Zone in the Suez Canal Economic Zone (SCZone).
According to the deal’s terms, a 6-kilometre area will be used for the construction of developed industrial areas at SCZone. The project will open at least 25,000 jobs in nine industrials areas at SCZone.
The Egyptian-Chinese industrial zone in Ain Sokhna (TEDA) is planned to include a motorbike company, textile factories and a logistics centre.
