Civitavecchia, Italy (PortSEurope) February 13, 2019 – Italian company Trenitalia plans to start the operation of a cruise passenger service linking Civitavecchia port to Rome.
The service will improve the service to passengers of cruise ships docking at Rome Cruise Terminal, the main terminal for cruise lines at Civitavecchia Port of Rome.
The service, named Civitavecchia Express, will be operated four times a day between April 1 and December 14 and will have a travel time of 35 to 40 minutes between Civitavecchia and the San Petro station in Rome.
Trenitalia will create information points dedicated to cruise passengers both at the port and at the stations of Civitavecchia and Roma San Pietro.
100% controlled by Ferrovie dello Stato Italiane SpA, Trenitalia operates in the sector of passenger mobility services at national and international level.
