Valencia, Spain (PortSEurope) April 20, 2018 – The Valenciaport Foundation is giving a seminar this week in the port of Montevideo on the “Key Aspects of Port Management” for managers and middle managers of Administración Nacional de Puerto (National Ports Authority of Uruguay).
This seminar, given by the Director of International Development of the Valenciaport Foundation, Miguel Garín and by the Head of R,D & I projects, Paula Vieira, has as a general objective to train the human talent of the National System of Public Commercial Ports of Uruguay In order to strengthen the processes of continuous improvement, increasing employee motivation making it more receptive to supervision and management actions. This face-to-face training of 21 hours, spread over three days (April 16, 17 and 18) is complemented by pedagogical materials on electronic support from the Virtual Classroom of the Valenciaport Foundation.
The contents of the course include statistics and port indicators; Management of the logistics chain and the port community and computerization in ports. In this last section, different technological solutions are exposed in ports such as ERP Systems, Single Windows, Port Community System (PCS), TOS systems, EDI, etc.
