Marseille, France (PortSEurope) September 13, 2017 – The third edition of the SmartCity Marseille Méditerranée Forum will take place in Marseille port September 14-17, 2017.
The Forum is devoted to the theme: “Hyper métropole, quelle ville monde à horizon 2030” and comprises two days of debates, testimonies, workshops, as well as the presentation of the best initiatives and innovations around the Smart City.
At this time of the power and the place of cities in the world, it is essential to pose at the heart of reflection, and for the next 15 years, the increasing role of this territorial transformation, the effects of country and global polarisation in the world, and its impacts in each of the territories.
The Forum SmartCity 2017 brings together experts and major international witnesses, national and territorial participants in order to discuss, debate and bring strategic reflections and operational solutions to this major challenge that is taking shape in a complex and urbanized world.
Speakers include: Christine Cabau Woehrel (Managing Director and Chairman of the Management Board of Grand Port Maritime de Marseille; Cheikh Kante (Director of the Port Authority of Dakar); Philippe Matthis (President of the AIVP – Le réseau mondial des villes portuaires/The worldwide network of port cities); Jaafar Mrhardy (Managing Director Tanger Med Zones, subsidiary of TMSA, Port of Tangier; Hugues Parant (Managing Director of Euroméditerranée); and Torsten Sevecke (Director of the Port and Innovation Department of the Ministry of Economy, Transport and Innovation of the Hamburg Senate).
