A Coruña, Spain (PortSEurope) January 3, 2018 – A Coruña port posted the highest growth of fresh fish handled in the first eleven months of 2017 among the ports in Spain.
In A Coruña, the total quantity of fresh fish rose 21.4% to 48,925 tonnes. Vigo remained the leading Spanish port in the segment, with 77,967 tonnes, up 8.1%.
Avilés port handled 12,904 tonnes of fresh fish in the first eleven months of 2017, up 8.4% on the year. The positive performance of Avilés contrasts with the one of Gijón, where 7,202 tonnes of fresh fish were handled, down 9.7%.
Pasaia and Cádiz handled 23,689 tonnes and 15,306 tonnes, respectively.
