AdSp del Mare Adriatico Settentrionale (Venice) sees budget approved and dredging to start

The Extraordinary Commissioner of Autorita’ di Sistema Portuale del Mare Adriatico Settentrionale (AdSP – Northern Adriatic Sea Port Authority) Pino Musolino approved today the General Report for the 2019 financial year of the Entity – October 8, 2020 The approval took place following the issuance by the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport of Decree 434 of 02 October 2020 with which paragraph 2 of art. 2
of the decree n. 332/2020 thus attributing to the Commissioner himself, until the restoration of the ordinary top management bodies. With the approval of the Budget, blocked by the Representatives of the Metropolitan City of Venice Fabrizio Giri and of the Veneto Region Maria Rosaria Campitelli from which, ex-law, the Commissioner of the Entity was born, it will now be possible to draw on resources necessary for development of the Venetian ports. It is also by virtue of this approval that the Extraordinary Commissioner was able to sign the final approval today for the excavation of the Malamocco-Marghera Canal at the PRP level in the section between the Evolution Basin 3 and San Leonardo. An intervention which, combined with the recent agreement reached with the PIOPP for the transfer of over 500,000 cubic meters of sludge at the Tresse Island, will make it possible to solve the problems of nautical accessibility to the ports of Venice and Chioggia. Finally, today, in implementation of the regulatory provisions defined by the Relaunch Decree, subsequently converted into law, the Extraordinary Commissioner informed the non-concessionary port companies authorized to carry out port operations pursuant to art. 16 of law 84/94 – in this case VE.PORT Srl, GM SERVICE Srl and GEODEM-AMBIENTE Srl – of the possibility of making use of an extension of one year for the exercise of the envisaged activities, however, postponing the payment of the annual fee from 31 / 12/2020 to 31/12/2021.
