Chinese delegation visits Gioia Tauro port

Gioia Tauro, Italy (PortSEurope) November 26, 2018 – Chinese Minister of Economy Li Bin has visited the port of Gioia Tauro during a tour organised by the regional government of Calabria. The Chinese delegation was welcomed by the general secretary of the port authority, Saverio Spatafora, who presented the port infrastructure and explained the various planned actions put in place to ensure further development at the main
Italian transhipment port. The delegation visited the facilities of Italian company Tonno Callipo Group, welcomed by the owner who recently signed a contract for the launch of a port warehouse for the reception and storage of the yellowfin tuna, before transferring it for processing in its main plant of Vibo Valentia.
