A delegation from the Barcelona office of the shipping company, consisting of Captain Huang Cunxun, managing director of COSCO
Shipping Lines Spain, Albert Oñate, general manager, and Zeng Qingzhao, financial director, was in charge of delivering this medical equipment to Olga Pané , manager of Hospital del Mar, and Josep Aumatell, director of Support Services at Parc Salut Mar. A representative of COSCO Shipping Lines (Spain) said that the donation was to “help the health network, having chosen the Hospital del Mar for its strong link with the maritime activity of the city of Barcelona, in addition to the enormous effort that this hospital center is underway to treat the Covid-19 pandemic”. On the other hand, this solidarity action is also part of the policy that the Chinese shipping company has been deploying worldwide in recent months, which has led it to make numerous donations of medical equipment to companies, ports and hospital centres around the world, in order to help directly combat the pandemic generated by Covid-19.
