Piraeus, Greece (PortSEurope) September 17, 2019 – In August 2019, the overseas terminals of China’s COSCO Shipping Ports Limited saw container throughout increase by 13% to 2.422 million TEU, compared to 2.147 million TEU in the same period of 2018.

Individual European terminals throughput in August 2019:

  • Piraeus Container Terminal S.A. registered 465,200 TEU, compared to 372,000 in same period of 2018 (+25%).
  • Euromax Terminal Rotterdam B.V.; 217,400 TEU (270,600); -19.7%.
  • Suez Canal Container Terminal S.A.E.; 294,000 TEU (251,300); +17.3%.
  • Antwerp Gateway NV; 170,100 TEU (190,800); -10.9%.
  • Kumport Liman Hizmetleri ve Lojistik Sanayi ve Ticaret A.Ş; 117,000 TEU (109.500); +6.9%.
  • Reefer Terminal S.p.A.; 3,000 TEU (4,700); -4.9%.
  • COSCO Shipping Ports (Spain) Terminals S.L.U.*; 300,800 TEU (317,100); -5.1%.
  • CSP Zeebrugge Terminal NV; 49,600 TEU (46,000); +7.9%.
