Palermo, Italy (PortSEurope) May 16, 2019 – Italian company Costruzioni Bruno Teodoro SpA has won a €868,500 ($972,116) contract for the extension of Palermo port’s cruise dock through the construction of a structure dubbed a “mooring dolphin”.
The new structure will serve to extend the pier to allow the docking of larger cruise ships at the port of Palermo. Costruzioni Bruno Teodoro offered a discount of 19.639% of the price set in a tender for the works.
A €321,293 ($359,625) project for the paving in an area of the Piave wharf previously occupied by 22 grain silos demolished last year was awarded to local company Ellebi-St Srl. In particular, the intervention involves the paving, lighting and fencing of the area that will be used for the temporary parking of semi-trailers.
