Croatian minister reviews Rijeka transport developments

Rijeka, Croatia (PortSEurope) October 12, 2021 – The Minister of the Sea, Transport and Infrastructure, Oleg Butković, has visited Rijeka to meet Mayor of Rijeka, Marko Filipović, to review transport infrastructure projects. This included projects being developed by the Port of Rijeka, including the container terminal Brajdica and Zagreb pier. “These are projects worth around €60 million ($69.3 million) for which permits will be obtained by the end
of the year, while the contract with the selected concessionaire on the Zagreb coast will be signed in early November. With these investments, we strive to exceed one million container units in a few years, and in order for Rijeka to become the strongest port in this part of the Adriatic”, said Minister Butković. Last June, a joint venture of APM Terminals and Enna Logic was set to be awarded a contract to develop and operate Zagreb Deep Sea terminal by the Port Authority of Rijeka. The contract would be worth an estimated €2.8 billion ($3.3 billion). Copyright (C) PortSEurope. All Rights Reserved. 2021.
