Bilbao, Spain (PortSEurope) September 27, 2017 – The Port Equipment Manufacturers Association (PEMA) has announced that the next Annual General Meeting (AGM) will be held in Bilbao, January 30 – February 1, 2018, in partnership with UniportBilbao.
The AGM is an opportunity for PEMA members to network, receive updates on the activities of the association and its technical committees and attend key-note talks from prominent figures across the ports and terminals industry.
PEMA is an organisation which provides a forum and public voice for the global port equipment and technology sectors, reflecting their role in enabling safe, secure, sustainable and productive ports and supporting world maritime trade.
It aims to foster good relations within the communities represented, by providing a forum for the exchange of views on global trends in port equipment and technology design, manufacture, operation and maintenance.
PEMA also aims to promote and support the global role of port equipment and technology by raising awareness with the media, customers and other stakeholders; forging relations with other industry associations and bodies; and contributing to best practice initiatives.
Uniportbilbao is the association that represents the business cluster of the port of Bilbao. It aims for the competitive development and commercial promotion of the port of Bilbao and its surroundings.
