Genoa, Italy (PortSEurope) May 12, 2019 – The 2nd edition of the Blue Economy Summit will be held in Genoa from 13 to 15 May 2019, an event dedicated to the various production chains linked to the sea, promoted by the Municipality of Genoa and the Genoa Smart City Association with the technical and organizational support of Clickutility Team.
The summit will explore, through conferences, workshops, technical visits and networking moments, all the activities that use the sea, the coasts and the seabed as resources for industrial activities and for the development of services, such as ports, logistics and transport, recreational yards and not, maritime, coastal and cruise tourism, fishing, aquaculture, marine biotechnology and marine renewable energy.
The event will take place at Palazzo Tursi, seat of the Municipality of Genoa, which will host the conference sessions which will alternate with meetings at the San Giorgio Nautical Institute. Four thematic areas in which foreign institutions, entrepreneurs and guests will be involved to initiate comparisons and opportunities for international development for the territory:
- Genoa, Capital of the Blue Economy: the development prospects of the Waterfront and the Port
- The economic and maritime dynamics of the Mediterranean, between Europe and China. Where is Italy and Genoa located and what are the development opportunities in a two-way BIS?
- Technological evolution: development of open innovation and start-up paths
- The protagonists of the Blue Economy talk about development paths and new professions in the economy of the sea
The Blue Economy Summit is part of the events of the Genoa Blue Forum promoted by the Municipality of Genoa, the University of Genoa, the Genoa Chamber of Commerce and the Association of Maritime Brokers. The Ports of Genoa is an institutional partner at the event in the coming days.
