News – National Logistic Platform, the steering committee has been established – September 17, 2020 The first meeting of the steering committee of the National Logistics Platform – chaired by Zeno D’Agostino – took place yesterday in Rome at the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport. The ministerial body was created to put modal interchange nodes, ports, dry ports, freight centres and logistic plates in communication
with transporters; but also to improve the efficiency and safety of Italian logistics, simplifying the communication processes between operators and authorities. “The analysis and coordination of the technological aspect of national logistics is both a European and an international issue, unique but at the same time complex. Italy is based on small and medium-sized enterprises, and it will be necessary to understand what the business model will be to approach the problem of the plurality of subjects”, explained D’Agostino, who is also president of the Port of Trieste (Autorita’ di Sistema Portuale del Mare Adriatico Orientale/AdSP – Eastern Adriatic Sea Port Authority) and vice president of ESPO (European Sea Ports Organization).
