La Spezia Port Handles Project Cargo Exported To ITER Project In France

La Spezia, Italy (PortSEurope) March 15, 2019 – La Spezia port has handled a project cargo weighing over 200 tonnes, shipped by Master Project, a subsidiary of Tarros Group.

The project cargo represented a magnet, produced by the Genoa-based company ASG Superconductors, destined to the south of France for the construction of the International Thermonuclear Experimental Reactor (ITER).

To make the operation possible, it was necessary to use 20 men, 2 SPMT trolleys and numerous assistance vehicles with two latest-generation cranes that simultaneously lifted and then placed the precious cargo in the hold.
