Las Palmas, Spain (PortSEurope) June 19, 2018 – Las Palmas port applied during 2017 bonuses on fees for a value of €10,051,000 ($11,673,000). This amount represents an increase of 35.26% on the year.
The bonuses, agreed by the board of directors of Autoridad Portuaria de Las Palmas (Port Authority of Las Palmas) are expected to support strategic traffic, and alleviate the condition of periphery of the province.
Discounts of up to 40% are applied to three types of tariffs, namely of ships, of cargo and of transit, although the sum of the amounts cannot exceed 20% of what the agency collects in total.
